Khurram Jamali has a decade long professional experience in financial services, consulting and technology across USA, Pakistan, China and Singapore. Khurram is an Industry Head for Google APAC, in which capacity he leads the organizations cross functional and business efforts for the territory, with a specific focus on the South Asia Emerging Market region.
Khurram earned his BA from Middlebury College in the USA and his MBA from INSEAD and is fluent in English, Urdu and Mandarin.

Raza Matin is the Marketing & Business Consultant for Google Pakistan and in conjunction with the remote team, is responsible for business and ecosystem development in the region. Raza is focused upon driving connectedness and innovation through increases in digital adoption and awareness amongst consumers, businesses and the development of a vibrant start-up ecosystem.
Prior to Google, Raza worked with large enterprises in the region as a management consultant, focusing on process automation, program and change management. A unapologetic serial entrepreneur, Raza has been previously involved in domestic startups in healthcare, retail and technology space.
Raza holds an Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Queen's University in Canada.

Saad Mahmood is a 23-year- old software development engineer, with over half a decade of familiarity with software development. His first IDE was Visual Studio, as he started his journey of software development with C#. Now a man known for his software delivery, Saad is skilled in Windows Development, Xamarin, .NET, JAVA, Python and Microsoft Azure. He’s been a Windows Development MVP since 2015. He was awarded Microsoft MVP for Azure and is now helping students, industry and open source community craft cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. He also contributes to major open source projects by Microsoft and python community on github.

Ali Murtaza is a Fulbright scholar with an MFA in Industrial Design from Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), where he received the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award in 2015. He has worked as a design consultant for organizations like Coke USA, Dolby Labs, Grid Impact, Audi, Pepsico. Pakistan, Startup Lab (Oslo) and IPAL, among others. He has previously taught in the design department at BNU, and is now teaching a Design Lab course at Information Technology University (ITU), alongside managing Makeistan; Pakistan’s first academic makerspace.

Muhammad Bilal Amjad is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in windows development and Visual Studio and development technologies. He’s also a Microsoft Certified professional, Microsoft Community Leader and speaker working in Microsoft technologies for more than 4 years. He has worked as a Lead .NET software engineer in zameen.com and today he’s an entrepreneur running a registered software company Attrayant Designs Pvt. Ltd. Bilal is also the founder of Instacare - Pakistan’s first instant healthcare solution. He has been actively participating in community activities and has delivered 100+ technical training sessions, written blog posts, and made video tutorials for the Microsoft community.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Umar Saif’s work has focused on the nexus of technology, research, entrepreneurship and public policy. He is interested in innovative, large-scale "real" technology, that can impact millions of people. As Chairman of the Punjab IT Board, he works as the CIO of the Government of Punjab, founded Pakistan's largest startup incubator (Plan9) and accelerator (PlanX), and founding Vice-Chancellor of one of Pakistan's premier technology university (ITU). Dr. Saif was named as one of the top innovators in the world by MIT Technology Review (TR35) and Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (YGL).

Khizr is the founder of Jaan Pakistan ?a social enterprise, researching and producing affordable energy solutions for low-income communities across Pakistan. Jaan Pakistan won the Rwanga Social Startup Competition at the fifth One Young World summit last year and is currently working on introducing solar cook stoves to urban slums in Lahore.
Khizr has 8 years of experience in developing behavior change communications, partnering with international aid organizations and not-for-profits, including USAID, UNICEF, UNDP, WHO, The World Bank, National Disaster Management Authority, GIZ, Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Aman Ittehad, the British High Commission and others. In October 2015, Khizr launched a mobile app for second hand goods: Sparklist. Khizr continues to consult the aforementioned startup.
Khizr also regularly writes for various publications.

A budding Entrepreneur who founded his own startup, based on his Senior Year Project, with the help of 3 amazing co-founders. Graduated from LUMS, in June 2016, with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. At Interacta, with the help of his team he is working to change the way our traditional broadcast media works.

Ahmed has over ten years of experience in data networks, with major focus on Vehicular ADHoc Networks and their optimization. It was soon after his graduation he realized he is a misfit for the corporate culture and started a small software company after several years and lot of Validated Learning he started XGear. He is also a founding member of CHaSE (Conference on Hacking and Security) a community to serve Pakistan in the wake of increased number of attacks on Pakistani Internet Frontiers, with XGear he has won various National and International Awards including P@SHA ICT Award, MIT Business Acceleration, GEW Startup Open, Startup Pirates etc. and have been part of Plan9, BlackBox an accelerator run by Google for Entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, World Startup Factory. XGear now operates globally helping multinational brands optimize their fleet movements and supply chain functions.

Saad Idrees is a technology and governance consultant and serves as the Co-Director at the Social Innovation Lab at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Saad started his career in the data industry and has also worked with the corporate sector briefly. As a tech-in-governance consultant, he has spent the last two years helping governments improve governance and service delivery in Punjab and Sindh. Recently, he has also developed an Android-based monitoring system for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,’s Health Department. Saad graduated with a Bsc. (Hons) in Computer Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Ayub Ghauri has been working with NetSol Technologies for over 12 years in two separate stints in last fifteen years. Within NetSol he has had the exposure of building various departments such as Global Marketing and Information Security. He also helped set up NetSol office in Germany in 2015. Ayub got his degree in MIS from California State University, Northridge. He spent a large part of his professional life in the UK thereafter within diverse disciplines of Entrepreneurship, Media and Marketing and therefore he understands the importance of IT as an enabler within everything that we do to achieve greater commercial success. He is currently heading “NSPIRE? the incubator launched by NETSOL Technologies.

A Globe trotter at heart, Sana is currently working with the Information Technology University as Program Manager for Lincoln Corner Lahore. She's also a core team member and master trainer with The History Project. She is also affiliated as an Educator with Seeds of Peace, an international organisation working on conflict resolution and leadership development. Sana is a New Vision for Peace Fellow 2015-2016 and an Acumen Fellow 2017. She's engaged with The Muslim Jewish Conference as Director Alumni and has attended several international conferences and a one month long extensive program in the US. She has also been associated with Rabtt since early 2015 and has worked as a trainer on projects such as the LUMS NOP initiative. She has also conducted corporate trainings and teacher trainings across Pakistan. In her free time she enjoys writing and has just finished her first poetry book. A theatre actor as well, she likes to indulge in reading, having good food, movies and television series along with different sports and travelling.

Anil Anjum has been working in digital marketing for over 5 years and is currently working as the Creative Head at 3s Crowd.
Anil has worked previously with other agencies such as Red Communication Arts and Bramerz. He has worked for over 30 brands including BMW, Huawei, Dell, Nestle, Tetra Pak, Unilever and more. He is involved in creative and content strategies, art direction and PR strategies but still believes his specialty lies in content creation.
Although an architect by degree, Anil’s passion for advertising led him to pursue a career in this field. He completed his MBA in finance and marketing in 2015. He loves meeting new people who have the same drive and passion for advertising and are keen towards building their own brand. He loves watching movies and runs a blog called Filmi Faluda, he also loves watching Netflix and goes crazy when the WIFI router stops working.

Gohar is an experienced Digital Media Consultant who has consulted several reputed start-ups, SME's and Fortune 500 companies over the years. He advises and aids businesses to use information technology and digital marketing in order to meet their business objectives and to overcome complex problems.

Ali Mukhtar is the founder and CEO of Fatima Ventures. He founded the young and progressive venture capital in 2014 with the vision to support the startup ecosystem of Pakistan. Under his leadership, Fatima Ventures has already invested in three startups and continues to grow. In addition to being the CEO of Fatima Ventures, he is also serving as a Director in Fatima Group. Ali is a graduate from University of Pennsylvania.

Syed Nadeem Hussain is the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Director of Tameer Microfinance Bank Limited. Prior to that, Mr. Hussain spent 27 years at Citigroup, and served as Country Manager for Iraq Operations within the corporate banking and investment division. He also held several senior management positions at the firm in all major financial centers. Mr. Hussain was involved in starting and managing CitiSolutions in the United Kingdom. Previously, he was the General Manager and Head of Consumer Banking at Citibank, Pakistan. Mr. Hussain was also the Country Risk Manager at Citigroup in Hong Kong and China, where he was involved in establishing a liquidity and asset protection program. He joined Citibank in 1979. Mr. Hussain was the Chairman of the Overseas Chamber of Commerce of Pakistan. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Institute of Business Administration in 1998 and was a Member of the Government of Pakistan Investment Advisory Board. Mr. Hussain has earned a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Muhlenberg College in 1979.

Startup Rumble Judges

Amna has ten years of work experience as a communications and product strategy consultant and advisor for major technology brands, in the US and internationally. For the past 5 years, as the Director of Seattle based product communications firm Mocha7, she has increased the company’s growth by securing strategic lateral partnerships with companies like Indiegogo and Interaction Design Foundation, as well as vertical partnerships with Venture Capital firms like DC Ventures. She has also been at the forefront of closing six-figure client projects with brands like Segway and Dr Pepper. Recently, Amna has also started her own product design and communications venture called EarthRyse.

Hassan Bhatti is Chief Business Officer at Iris Automation - a Silicon Valley backed Industrial Drone Company, Co-founder Quintius - Seed stage Venture Fund based in Silicon Valley, a board member of several global organisations, and a frequent speaker on topics of 4th Industrial revolution and start-ups.
He previously has worked with a diverse set of organizations including Schlumberger, Procter & Gamble, Barclays, KPMG- Infrastructure Investments,Quantius, and served as COO at Wifigen. Hassan’s community interests are very broad he is a founding member of an innovative Canadian national charity called GivGro, is involved on the board of the Muslim Urban Professional Organization (largest Muslim Professional Group), UBC-AMS business council, founded world’s first cross-sector leadership initiative focused on millennials, and regularly works with students and young professionals through different organizations both in Canada and Pakistan.
He holds a BSc in Physics and Economics as an International Scholar from UBC where he received UBC's highest leadership and community awards - Nestor Korchinsky and Margaret Fulton respectively for his work across the globe.

Omer is an innovator in the Customer Services tech space, and has led both innovation and deployment projects, delivering either cost-savings or improved customer experience. He has worked as a consultant for many Enterprise level corporates in the US, UK and Pakistan such as Apple, AT&T, O2, Kwikfit and Barclays. He has a reputation for being able to innovate and re-invent, for leveraging the existing infrastructure of companies and for delivering significant cost savings. At present, Omer is working closely with an innovative startup and heading the AI team in a startup approaching IPO. Omer has also been a part of prestigious Microsoft accelerator's first cohort in London and a Google sponsored BlackBox acceleration program in Palo Alto.
Omer is also a professional musician, holds a private pilot license and assisted in the script writing for popular feature films. Based out of London, UK - he is keen on meeting with Pakistani startups and help them in any way he can.

Asha Jadeja Motwani is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist based in Palo Alto, California. In her career as a venture capitalist, Asha has invested in over a 100 startups which were acquired or became public companies (Google, Paypal, Cisco, and Citrix to name a few).
Asha's current priority is to empower entrepreneurs through world-positive investing as well as supporting the maker movement, informal education, and women’s rights philanthropically through the Motwani Jadeja Family Foundation.

A business enthusiast and a serial entrepreneur for more than 16 years, Shoaib leads a 3rd-generation family business, KAUSAR (kausar.com.pk), established in 1951 by his late grandfather.
True to its core values of simplicity, integrity & respect, the journey of the business, from very humble beginnings to being the leading processors of various edible household products across Pakistan, is a testament of the mind-set on adding value to people’s lives.
An Old-Ravian, he did his Electrical Engineering from NUST and worked in senior management positions for various multinationals, before joining his family’s food business.
Having served on the boards of chambers of commerce & industry and trade associations, Shoaib enjoys reading autobiographies and is a regular speaker on entrepreneurship and family businesses.

Saad, an MIT graduate, is an entrepreneur, advisor and investor offering a blend of product management, marketing, general management and business development expertise mainly encompassing consumer internet, software, telecommunications, enterprise software & SaaS.
He is presently a board member at PlanX. Saad is a the co-founder and managing director of VentureDrive (a technology incubator), in the San Francisco Bay Area and provides advisory services to Careem as well. Saad has previously been a part of Zainbar and was a technical analyst at Kayak.com, Oracle and Alcatel. He has evaluated mobile startups and technologies as a member of 4G Venture Forum.
As a writer, Saad has a number of publications to his name found at VentureBeat, GigaOm, and Itvale. He has also taught at Harvard and Stanford University. Saad is passionate about building and investing in great products, services, and companies that change and improve millions of lives worldwide.

Selection Process for Startup Rumble

Step 1: Top 70 Startups will be decided from amongst popular vote and application screening. In addition to that 15 startups will be selected as wildcard entries at the discretion of the Startup Lahore management (contingent on the strength of their applications).
It is mandatory for all selected startups to attend training sessions by industry experts on the 24th. Details about these sessions will be emailed beforehand.

Step 2: Shortlisted startups shall submit their detailed business plan and pitch deck (templates provided by Startup Lahore team) for consideration to the Top 20 by a panel of judges. These details will only be accessible to our panel of judges and the Startup Lahore management.

Step 3: The Top 20 startups will be pitching in front of a panel of judges and industry experts on January 27th for prize money.
